On Author Love, a B & B for Book Lovers, and the Rules of Book Borrowing
2012 at 5am Posted by Rebecca Joines Schinsky
After nearly four years of blogging, I sometimes feel like I’m getting too comfortable in my routine. It’s wonderful to have found a voice and philosophy for The Book Lady, but sometimes a girl just has to shake things up. The opportunity to think and write about books and the reading life in a new way has been one of the best parts of working at Book Riot, but hands down, no question (and no offense to the rest of our terrific contributors), the highlight has been creating a weekly collaborative column with Liberty Hardy (whom you likely know as @missliberty).
We call ourselves The Well-Readheads (gingers of the world, unite!), and each week, we chat about some aspect of reading culture or our personal literary experiences. Among other things, we’ve discussed how we hate sharing our books, displayed the insanity of our TBR piles, revealed authors whose brains we want to touch in a non-fatal way, and–my favorite–imagined a bed and breakfast just for book lovers (The Well-Readhead Inn, natch). I haven’t re-posted any of these conversations here because they don’t necessarily make sense out of context, but I do want to share this new project with you, dear readers, and invite you to check out the column and what I’m working on when I’m not here. You can find The Well-Readheads archive here, and I hope you’ll take a minute to explore what else we have going on at Book Riot.
Happy Friday! If you have any fun new developments in your writing or blogging life to share, I’d love to hear about ‘em.

Oh love, the feeling is entirely mutual.
