Be Bookrageous…It’s for the Children!

A few weeks ago, we talked about the concept of bookrageous and the importance of making books fun and exciting again. Not long after, the Bookrageous Blog went live, and we posted our very first podcast.
Now, I’m thrilled to tell you that the Bookrageous Calendar, in which 18 crazy book people pose in all kinds of situations to exhibit their bibliomania, is finally complete!
The calendar is $25, and every cent of profit is going to First Book, which provides new books to children in need (because, you know, access to books is one of the most important factors affecting literacy).
Sure, it’s the middle of summer, but if you spring for this calendar, you won’t need another one until July 2012, and you’ll be supporting a great cause. So, do it!

Lack of books along with lack of dedicated teachers do pave the way for failing illiteracy rate among some country and I definitely admire your cause of donating the sales to First Book, which in my opinion is doing some very good job on promoting the importance of reading books and at the same time, providing the resources they do need.
Keep up the good work Becca, God surely is smiling upon you now!
