I'm up to being stoked I won WAITING FOR COLUMBUS! Totally made my day!

Weekends are workdays for me, unfortunately. But it doesn't make them any less enticing!

Oh I can't wait to watch Boondock Saints II. I absolutely loved the first one. Curious to see what you thought of In the Woods. Your dog sounds hilarious. I'd love to see a video of that. Does your dog do that every time he/she eats?

That Millie she's a precocious little pupster isn't she? Me thinks a perscription for Proac to have "just in case" is definitely worth the effort. ;)

My weekend was much like yours. A bit of errand running, some house hold chores, and then book club today with Swapna, Deborah and Jenn. It was great to see the ladies! Now I'm ensconced on the couch in my jammies with the television on doing a bit of blog work and catching up on my feed reading.

Have a great week!

I had a brief 30 minutes to myself before my daughter made her way down at 7am. I fed her and then we tackled her homework packet. The boy slept until 9am! I woke him, fed him and then made him clean his room. What else? Oh, I wrote a post for Booking Mama's book club feature, posted my Sunday Salon post, and started my own book club! More on that later...

I am reading Her Fearful Symmetry and listening to the wind. It's very windy and cold right now. My kids wanted to go to the park but the Looney Tunes marathon changed their minds. Thanks goodness.

Silly puppy! I swear, dogs are pretty darned close to having kids. I have had the most exhausting weekend, and really REALLY would like to burrow down with a book and some cinnamon rolls. I don't think it is in the cards for me though! But if I happen to fall down somewhere in the middle of the floor, I'm hoping they just leave me be.

Your dog has one heck of a sense of humour!

And I'm super glad I won. I had my fingers crossed for this one. And on this incredibly icky Sunday where I had to get up super early to work a side-job that I'm super not excited about.... it made my day <3

Congratulations to the winners!

My kids woke up around 5 this morning and wouldn't leave me alone. I did manage to go back to sleep on them but that wasn't until a few hours later.

Today I'm going to curl up with a book and just relax. Have a great Sunday.

LOL re: Millie! Sounds like our household - only Raven doesn't bark at her food. She does, however, eat it very slowly (she has to chew each piece at least three times) and removes the kibble from her bowl with her paw so she can eat it off the floor. Eating out of bowls is so not cool.

Sounds like you had a good week of reading. I'm trying to finish Wally Lamb's latest so I can actually say I completed the Chunkster Challenge *laughs*

I need to go find a good hiding place for the Amaretto - someplace so good I won't remember where I put it! In a literarily inspired moment, after having finished listening to THE NEON RAIN (by James Lee Burke; narrated by Will Paton) I decided I wanted to sample a Dr. Nut (also the favored drink of Ignatius in A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES by John Kennedy Toole.) Unfortunately, it's no longer made. I found a recipe for a Dr. Nut cocktail online which is supposedly as close to a Dr. Nut in taste as can be found now. So last night I poured myself 4 oz of Amaretto over 2 oz Dr. Pepper over crushed ice. It's very sweet but oddly addictive!

In other book news on this Sunday morning, Thomas Trofimuk mentions my DH in relation to WAITING FOR COLUMBUS, a mention that made me giggle as Mr. "God of Audiobooks" snores away in the next room!

As for me personally, I need to wrap up A CASE OF EXPLODING MANGOES (by Mohamed Hanif) for a MAN Booker group I'm in and; at least start LIFE AS WE KNEW IT (by Susan Beth Pfeffer) for the BOTN DysopYA Reading Challenge.

And finally, console yourself with the fact that you don't suffer from "Amityville HOrror Insomnia!" This is when you wake up every morning around 03.15. The worst thing is, the more often it occurs, the harder it is to "break the habit!"
