This book started a little slow for me then picked up then was soooo slow I skipped to the end. And of course had to skip back and keep going. But I don't get what happened.....were Jessica (person in charge of cemetary) and her husband (or anyone else!) ghosts? Why did he carry the revived dead person to their house? It was not clear what kind of help they needed. And was HE a ghost and that is why he left at the end, with no word? I am rather well read and pretty well schooled but I just did not understand what happened at the very end there. I am surprised I am the only one apparently because I can't find any help online! So, when the twins mom Edie went back to London when the twins were 4 months old she stayed and called herself Elspeth? I like the fact that she writes about different types of relationships and problems that are somewhat unusual in fiction (OCD, death, twin relationships...).
