BEAtwittyparty—Sign Up Here!

Thanks to a suggestion from Kat Meyer and the pretty flexible responses to my survey, I’ve decided to schedule the BEAtwittyparty for next Friday, May 29th, from 8-10pm Eastern, so our virtual party will coincide with the real-life BEAtweetup, where they’ll have a Twitter feed and will be able to keep track of us as well.
Here’s how it’s going to work:
Leave a comment here with your name, blog, and Twitter username (I’m @bookladysblog), then start thinking about how you’d like to celebrate.
Next week, as the party gets closer, I’ll publish a list of everyone who signed up, so we can all be sure to follow each other on Twitter and have access to each other’s blogs. When 8pm rolls around next Friday night, you just sign on to Twitter, and you’ll be able to party down with all of the participants you’re following.
Email or tweet me to let me know if you’re planning to do something special on your blog during the party or if you have any ideas you want to share. I’m kind of making this up as I go along.
If you’re an author, publisher, or publicist who would like to donate books to give away during the party, I’d love to hear from you!
So, sign up here and start spreading the news! You don’t have to go to BEA to have a good time!

Sorry, it’s not that 3 of me will be there! (1 of me is probably more than enough, even virtually!) Something about the comments isn’t working like usual, so I posted 8 zillion times.
I’ll be there for the first 30 minutes or so, I totally forgot about my book club meeting, and I’ll have to leave for that at 8:30 or 8:45 Eastern.

I made a crappy little graphic thing to go with it, if anyone wants to grab it for their own posts. I would have done better if I’d had time!
Will we really be a part of it without swag bags? I wonder if we could convince a publisher to donate! Or perhaps we could just take our Trader Joe’s bags and re-label them Twitter Joe….
Great idea! I’ve gotten a few publicists & publisher reps I know to donate a good number of books for giveaways. If you have any contacts who would share swag bags, I think we should go for it.
