Mystery Solved!

Yesterday’s bookselling mystery was a toughie. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your guesses, and the fact that not a single one of you got it right makes me even more amazed by my coworker who figured out, based solely on the description provided and no further discussion, that the book the customer actually wanted was this:

Let’s review the customer’s description.

  • It’s a biography about a woman–yes!
  • She’s a comedian–yes…well, sort of.
  • She’s in her 50s–not yet
  • She has very short hair—um, no.
  • She’s on BBC all the time–if by BBC you mean NPR, then OK.

      Oh my goodness! That customer was insane. How inaccurate a description did she give?! Regardless, kudos to your coworker for figuring it out… I would have just dumped her in the “Humor” section for a while and let her grapple with the books herself!

      You have got to be kidding me! :) I was going to comment again later when I thought about Julie Andrew’s autobiography. That’s crazy. I think your co-worker deserves a good stiff drink after figuring that out.

      Well I was waaay off! Best I managed from the customer info was that she didn’t mean BBC at all.
      I really enjoyed trying to guess, thanks for posting this challenge :)

      Funny I got to the previous post too late. i did post my guess though…and I was right…too bad I am too late for the mystery revealed.

      She did have short hair in the latest episode of The Closer on TNT!
