Just because it makes me happy…

I woke up this morning to cool, rainy weather, which always makes me happy but is especially delightful today because it’s been in the 80s here all week, and that’s just not OK with me in October. On days like this, I love nothing more than curling up on the couch with my favorite snuggle buddy, our 2 1/2 year old basset hound, Millie. She loves to spoon and has the cutest snores!
Here she is at just 3 months old, with Hubert the Hedgehog. Sadly, Hubert is no longer with us.
She used to hate going into her crate when we’d leave the house, so she’d run to hide under this baker’s rack. It worked for a couple months, then she got too big.
And here’s our family Christmas picture from Christmas 2006 at my parents’ home. She was 8 months old and already 40 pounds. We’re all a little sleepy in this one.
So, that’s my family and my favorite snuggler. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing better than cuddling with my hubby and having Millie curled up in between us. Who do you snuggle up with on days like this?

I’m with you about not liking 80 degrees in October, that’s part of the reason I left southern California. The straw that broke the camel’s back was an ice cream truck going down my parents’ street on New Years Day. That was too much for me.
On grey, gloomy, rainy days I love to snuggle with my husband and my sweet little purring cat Ellie. Sometimes our other cat, Zach, likes to cuddle with and purr at our feet.
Oh, my gosh, y’all are so young! I feel like an old woman. For me, the best snugglers are my hubby and our dog.

Jen: An ice cream truck on New Year’s Day would be a dealbreaker for me, too. I need a white (or at least very cold) Christmas season.
Aww!! I haven’t been liking the weather either. It’s been too warm! I usually just snuggle with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate when the weather is like this! (Though my husband is a good cuddler as well!!)
RIP Hubert the Hedgehog
What a cute dog!
It was very warm here in Ca. today but when it is cool….let me see if I can even remember the last cool day… Uh, yeah. I got it. When it is cool I like to snuggle up with the blanket that I bought myself for Christmas over two Christmases ago. Especially nice if my kids and hubby are close by.
Precious pictures! On rainy days, I like to snuggle with my hubby, or my sons (9 & 3). If they aren’t available, I also have two cats (Sylvester-a tuxedo cat, and Jadzea, a tortie). Rainy days are perfect for reading!
My two fur babies, Magic and Molly Mei, are my snuggle pups in all kinds of weather. They get a bit jealous of my books sometimes, however
My dog has a hedgehog sort of like that…except he’s not blue; we got him before we even got my dog, and we named him Jake. Not a very creative name for a hedgehog, but it fit.
