An Interview with The Forgetful Faerie Queen
2008 at 7am Posted by Rebecca Joines Schinsky

Just one of the many awesome BBAW activities My Friend Amy put together was an opportunity for book bloggers to be randomly paired up for interviews with each. It was a great way to meet another blogger and see what else is going on out in cyberspace. I was matched up with Jennifer, The Forgetful Faerie Queen, and here’s what I learned about her:
1. What kind of books do you blog about? Does your blog have a niche? Well, I mostly read romance of different varieties. My favorite variety is Paranormal Romance. I also enjoy mysteries on the occasion. I am not sure I have been blogging enough to acquire a niche yet. My niche really depends on my mood for the day. I think it would be best to expect the unexpected out of me. Some days it could be book reviews posted and other days it could be things I found neat and wanted to share. Yet other days it might just be about the silly foibles that happen in my life.
2. When did you start blogging? I started bloggin 8/27/2008 “Officially”.
3. Why did you start blogging? Couple of reasons. First because a lot of my shelfari friends all started blogging recently and one of my groups wanted our book reviews posted if we could on http://readersofromance.blogspot.com/, which I am now also an official blogger on. {yes kids, I caved to peer pressure} Secondly, I have been encouraged to try writing out all my life. I guess people think I have things to say and have a funny way of saying it, so they have encouraged me to share.
4. Do you post your reviews anywhere besides your blog? Yes. I post my reviews also on the other blog metioned in the last question & on Shelfari. My shelfari review is not as detailed though.
5. What are your other hobbies or interests? I love to crochet doilies, cross-stitch, & other general crafting. I love movies and enjoy music. I have been known to play many games on my computer.(TS2,WoW,Eq,& Those Hide and Seek games from Big Fish)
6. Name 3 of your all-time favorite books. Please keep in mind that this answer depends on the day or my mood sometimes. LOL Today they are,
1.Saving Grace by Julie Garwood
2. A Tale of Two Vikings by Sandra Hill
3. Sea Swept by Nora Roberts
7. Worst book you ever read or tried to read? The top two from this year are Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey, & Bride for a Knight by Sue-Ellen Welfonder. I’m sure Kushiel’s Dart is an excellent read. Many of my online friends have told me that you have to stick it out. I just can’t though. Too many HARD details to understand in the beginning. Bride for a Knight was torture. I loved the plot, the whole premise for the book. I even loved the hero and heroine. It just seemed to drag forever. I wanted to throw the book at the wall. I couldn’t. It was my book needed in my “Summer Romance Reading Challenge”.
8. What’s your pet peeve? Well in books it drives me batty when someone spilled liquid on a book. Later when you try to pry pages apart that are stuck…I hate that. I can deal with the other things like bent corner as a bookmark(I don’t do that), or a spine that is broke in. I just hate to miss those pages and then to be the one doing the tearing during the seperation.
Not a good thing.
9. What kind of work do you do? I am a Profesional Faerie Queen.
10. Tell us something we don’t know about you: I have an auto-immune disease. Fibromyalsia. It’s painful. It has restricted my quality of living. It’s forced me from my chosen profession. I have mental confusion and short term memory losses sometimes due to this. Some other fun stuff too. This month is Pain Awareness month and I will be posting some, to make others aware of Fibromyalsia and what it is and does.

I love Jennifer’s blog title and enjoyed reading the interview very much.
