I kissed a girl, and I liked it…

Okay, maybe not…but I can’t get that f-ing song out of my head. Thanks a lot, Katy Perry, for yet another song that I hate but know all the words to.
And thanks to my husband, who had this song stuck in his head last week and sang it to me so many times that he passed it on to me. In case you have somehow managed to avoid this song until now but are a glutton for punishment, check it out:

What’s stuck in your head this week?

I escaped that song until I saw it was the number one download in the iTunes store and thought it might have been a cover of the old Jill Sobule song of the same name, which I loved. This was the first time I’d heard of Katy Perry and I have to say the “Ur So Gay” song is cuter.
Found out soon afterward that my best friend’s boyfriend went to high school with her and they’re semi-friends.
Would you believe that Black Sabbath’s Iron Man has been stuck in my head for weeks and when I get rid of it….it only returns in full force. It’s not even the words but the actual instrumental parts that are in my heard playing over and over. I have not even heard or actively sought out this song in several months or more.
Ah…I have that song ’7 days’ by Craig David in mt head since a week. I heard my brother-in-law sing it when I went to visit and it’s stuck in my head since. I just keep on blabbering Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday without any reason.
But I love that song, so not that big a problem, I guess.
I guess I’ve been living under a rock, because I’ve never heard of this song before. I hate when a song gets stuck in my head, though.
Even though I’ve never heard the song itself, my daughters have been singing this low, low, low, low song. I don’t even know who sings it, but here’s what my daughters keep singing and I can’t get it out of my head (note that lyrics and line breaks are from my daughters and may not reflect those of the actual song)
apple bottom jeans
boots with the fur, the fur, the fur
she hit the floor, the floor
and the next thing you know,
low, low, low, low, low
I can’t get their voices out of my head. I don’t listen to Top 40 (assuming that’s what it is), but still I’m “punished”…
Housewife: The lyrics look pretty right based on what I’ve heard from random snippets on the radio (I avoid Top 40 also) and from my husband, who heard it somewhere and made it his “song to annoy my wife” a few weeks ago, pre-Katy Perry.
I don’t like the premise of the song, not because she kisses a girl, but because she has a boyfriend. Kissing a boy OR GIRL is still cheating and wrong. But holy heck is that song catchy. Thanks for getting into my head again, though. :p
i HATE that song..
cant stand it.. no no.. i am sorry you have it stuck in your head.
the easiest way to get things out of my head is to memorize the opening lines to the Pet Shop Boys – West End Girls.
that little rap/chant opening has saved me many times. orf course, you have the distinct possibility of getting West End Girls stuck in your head, but when you weigh the options, is it really that bad?

I have been reading serial killer novels lately. due to that, i have been having trouble getting the Greenskeepers song “Lotion” out of my head..
link to the above post has a video with music/lyrics.
it is hilarious.. and disturbing.
That’s exactly the song I can’t hear anymore! I had a surgery last Thursday and I was laying in a hospital bed where I couldn’t do anything about it while it was playing on the radio! HELP!
