Booking Through Thursday: Holiday Edition

It’s a holiday weekend here in the U.S., so let’s keep today’s question simple–What are you reading? Anything special? Any particularly juicy summer reading?

I’m currently reading The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson. I started it yesterday over lunch and have read about 100 pages so far. Bryson brings his trademark humor and eye for the mundanities of life to this *slightly* embellished memoir about his childhood in 1950s Iowa. I’ve chuckled, chortled, laughed out loud, snorted, and annoyed my husband with one passage after the next that begs to be read aloud. I just can’t help myself…and really, how can you not love a book with a cover like this:
